  • Every fitting begins with understanding your goals, current equipment, and typical shot patterns. We'll establish baseline performance with your current clubs using FlightScope technology, then systematically test different combinations to optimize performance. You'll leave with complete specifications and understanding of WHY each recommendation was made.

Our Fitting Process

  • 1.

    Interview & Current Equipment Assessment

    We start by understanding your game. What are your goals? What frustrates you most on the course? We'll discuss your current equipment, typical shot patterns, and playing frequency. This conversation ensures every recommendation aligns with your game, body, and objectives.

  • 2.

    Current Equipment Assessment

    Time to hit some balls. You'll swing your current clubs to establish your performance baseline. This data becomes our benchmark for measuring improvement throughout the fitting.

  • 3.

    Shaft Optimization

    Shaft optimization (weight & flex) is the #1 performance factor. We'll test different weight categories to find what allows your most efficient, repeatable swing. Then we narrow down flex characteristics and bend profiles that complement your tempo and transition. We’ll identify the shaft that optimizes your launch conditions, spin rates, and consistency.

    Head Selection

    With your optimal shaft identified, we pair it with the best clubhead for your swing. We'll test 2-4 head designs across different manufacturers—comparing forgiveness, launch characteristics, spin rates, and sound/feel preferences. The data tells us which head maximizes ball speed and optimizes flight, while your feedback ensures confidence at address.

  • 5.

    Fine Tuning

    Details matter. We dial in length, adjust lie angle, and fine-tune loft for proper trajectory and distance gapping. Grip size and style complete the fitting. You'll receive complete build specifications: shaft model, head configuration, length, lie, loft, grip, and swing weight. Everything documented so your clubs are built precisely to your specs.

    Check Specs & Deliver

    You'll leave with a detailed fitting report explaining every recommendation and why it was made. Complete specifications are ready for custom ordering through CCG or a retailer of your choice. A complimentary follow-up session ensures your new equipment performs as expected and allows any minor adjustments once you've broken them in.

    2.5 Hours | $225

    Custom fitting for all clubs except putter: driver, woods/hybrids, irons, and wedges.

    Complete swing and equipment analysis. You’ll leave with comprehensive spec recommendation for equipment that fits your entire bag.

  • Driver + Woods

    1.5 Hours | $150

    Optimize your long game weapons. Driver, fairway woods, and hybrids fitted together to create seamless distance coverage and consistent performance off the tee and from the fairway.

  • Irons + Wedges

    1.5 Hours | $150

    Complete scoring club optimization. Full iron set through all wedges fitted as a cohesive system for consistent gapping, trajectory control, and performance from 150 yards in.

  • Driver

    1 Hour | $100

    We’ll test shaft and head combinations to optimize launch angle, spin rate, and ball speed to unlock more distance and tighter dispersion.

  • Woods & Hybrids

    1 Hour | $100

    Fairway woods and hybrids fitted for reliable performance on long approaches and off the tee. Proper loft gapping ensures seamless distance transitions between driver and irons.

  • Iron

    1.25 Hours | $125

    Build consistency throughout your bag. Shaft, lie angle, and head selection optimized for your swing to improve strike quality, distance control, and shot dispersion.

  • Wedges

    1.25 Hours | $125

    Short game scoring starts here. Bounce, grind, loft, and shaft specs optimized for your swing and course conditions. Distance gapping ensures proper yardage coverage.

  • Putter

    45 Minutes | $75

    We'll analyze your stroke mechanics, find the right length, loft, and lie angle for your setup, and test different head styles to see what actually rolls the ball better. Whether you struggle with distance control, starting line, or just want more confidence on the greens - the right putter makes a difference.

  • No problem, as long as it’s a brand we’re able to fit for. If you're committed to a particular brand, we'll find your best options within that family. However, staying brand-agnostic often uncovers surprising performers you wouldn't have considered.

  • Absolutely. High handicappers often benefit most from fitting because you're still developing consistency. Properly fitted clubs are easier to hit, build confidence faster, and won't fight against you as your swing improves. We'll fit equipment that helps you play better today while leaving room to grow.

  • Both matter, but shaft takes priority. Shaft weight, flex, and profile account for 60-70% of fitting impact because they control how the head delivers to the ball. We optimize shaft first, then pair it with the best head. Getting the head right with the wrong shaft still produces mediocre results.

  • Shaft flex depends on swing speed, tempo, transition timing, and release pattern—not just speed alone. We measure these factors with FlightScope and analyze loading/unloading characteristics. Many players use shafts too stiff (trying to "control" them) or too flexible (seeking distance), both costing performance.

  • Results vary by individual, but typical gains include: 10-20 yards driver distance, 15-30% tighter dispersion, 5-10 yards more consistent iron distances, improved strike quality (center contact), and greater confidence. Players with poorly fitted current equipment see larger improvements.

  • Absolutely. Inconsistent equipment magnifies swing inconsistencies. When clubs fight your natural tendencies (wrong shaft weight, incorrect length, poor lie angle), you compensate differently on every swing. Fitted clubs remove equipment variables, revealing true swing patterns and building repeatable motion.

  • Fittings are conducted year-round at The Course Indoor Golf Club - our indoor facility partnership location. The indoor location assures that we have a controlled environment and all the technology necessary to give the best recommendations.

  • The fitting fee remains separate to ensure completely unbiased recommendations. Our goal is helping you learn your game and getting you into the right equipment, regardless of where you purchase it.

    However, many clients choose to order through CCG because we offer competitive pricing through our manufacturer partnerships—often better than you'll find elsewhere.

  • Yes! Current CCG Lesson Members receive 20% off all fitting services.

  • Yes! Club fitting gift certificates are available year-round and make excellent holiday, birthday, or Father's Day gifts. They never expire and can be applied toward any fitting type.

  • Absolutely. We offer bundled lesson + fitting packages at a discount. Many students schedule fittings after completing initial lesson series once swing fundamentals are established.

  • Cancellations or reschedules with 48+ hours notice receive full refund. Late cancellations forfeit up to the full cost of the fitting fee due to lost appointment availability.
