CCG Junior Golf

Children and adults practicing golf on a golf course during daytime with a clear blue sky and trees in the background.

Fun, skill-building coaching that develops both golf ability and life skills like focus, patience, and sportsmanship.

Our Approach to Junior Golf Coaching

Age-Based Learning

We adjust our teaching based on your child's age, attention span, and physical development. Younger kids (7-10) get shorter, game-based sessions. Older juniors (11-15) receive more technical instruction and course strategy. Everyone learns at their own pace.

Game-Based Skill Building

Golf drills can be boring. We mix skill development with fun competitions, challenges, and games that keep kids engaged while building real ability. They're learning—they just think they're playing.

Positive Reinforcement

We focus on effort and improvement, not perfection. Every child leaves each session having learned something new and feeling good about their progress. We build confidence, not pressure.

Introductory & Fun Junior Programs

Perfect for beginners and recreational junior golfers who want to learn the game in a fun, low-pressure environment. We mix skill development with games and friendly competitions so kids enjoy learning golf, along with other important skills.

Competitive Junior Programs

For junior golfers who play competitively or aspire to play at the high school, college, or elite amateur level. We provide tournament preparation, advanced technique work, mental game coaching, and course management coaching in a consistent, familiar framework.

Parents' Most Common Questions

  • We work with kids as young as 5, though 7-9 is often the sweet spot for sustained focus. If your child can follow instructions for 30 minutes and has basic hand-eye coordination, they're ready to start.

  • Not for group programs—we provide all equipment if a child doesn’t have clubs yet. For private lessons, if they have clubs, great! If not, we have junior clubs available. Once they're committed to golf, we can help you find properly fitted clubs.

  • Perfect! We love working with complete beginners. Our group programs are designed for mixed experience levels, and we make sure every child feels comfortable regardless of ability.

  • That's up to you! Some parents stay and watch, others drop off and return at pickup time. For younger kids (7-9), we recommend staying for the first session so they're comfortable. After that, most kids prefer independence.

  • We do our best to create balanced groups by offering different registration types for junior camps. For private lessons, it's one-on-one tailored to your child.

  • For junior golf camps: 1 coach per 6-8 students (6 is our ideal number). This ensures every child gets individual attention while benefiting from group energy.

  • Camps are primarily recreational with skill development focus. We create friendly competitions and games, but the emphasis is on enjoyment, sportsmanship, and fun—not winning. For competitive-minded juniors, private lessons can focus on tournament preparation.
